July 28-August 1 Summer Camp Classes at the Newport Art Museum
The following classes are from 9am-3pm.
Young Explorers Club (6-9 years)

Find out what's happening in Bristol-Warrenwith free, real-time updates from Patch.
Explorers- grab your cameras and get ready to trek through historic Newport. You will go on a photo safari through the old streets to the waterfront. Create special projects documenting your adventures while you discover how to use a camera to creatively look at the world around you.

Draw & Explore (8-12 years)
Instructor Peter Dickison
Learn a series of five drawing skills, presented one per day. We'll explore the Newport Art Museum neighborhood to search for observational drawing opportunities for each drawing tool. Use various graphic media, including graphite, charcoal, chalk, collage and ink wash.

Join the Recyclathon (11-14 years)
Instructor: Lisa May Tobin
The attic at the Coleman Center has boxes of terrific items waiting to be turned into treasures. Share ideas and dive into those recyclables to create sculpures, wall hangings, jewelry, and even fun hats. Use your imagination because when it comes to recycling in art, the sky's the limit!
