PARENTING SUPPORT GROUP

The Parenting Support Group will meet on Sunday Nov. 24 at 6:00  PM in the Tildsley Building at St. Michael's Church, 399 Hope St. Bristol.  This is an opportunity for parents of preschool and school age children to discuss the everyday challenges they encounter in raising children today.  In past meetings parents have discussed oppositional behavior, setting limits, building self-confidence, parenting styles and special needs.  All discussion is focused on the concerns parents bring.  The group is facilitated by a mental health professional and all material is treated as confidential.  All parents are welcome, single and partnered, traditional and non-traditional, and parents in blended families.  There is no charge for the group but participants are encouraged to bring a donation of non-perishable food or personal hygiene items for the Bristol Good Neighbors Food Pantry.  Child care is available but parents planning to bring children must notify Jennifer DeWolf at (401)935-3359 by Nov. 22 to let her know how many children are coming and their ages.
