The Arts: A Driving Force in Rhode Island's Economy

The arts play an important role in the life and economy of cities, states, the nation. Theaters, galleries, festivals and so forth attract visitors and residents and create a ripple effect of benefits including more vibrant communities and thriving local businesses. To address these and related topics – such as the role of policies and public investments in creating a lively arts scene – a panel of distinguished speakers will participate in a 90-minute discussion moderated by Pell Center Senior Fellow Joseph Grady, who will contribute perspectives on public dialog about the issue.
