What's Open, Closed on New Year's Day?
All government buildings, the post office and schools are closed; most drug stores, coffee shops, restaurants, convenience stores will be open regular hours.
New Year’s Day is tomorrow, Jan. 1, celebrated as a national holiday. But you can still shop, eat out and find your favorite coffee in Bristol and Warren -- although not at the Coffee Depot in Warren. It’s closed.
Don’t expect to conduct any town business or mail a letter, either. The Town Halls in Bristol and Warren are closed, and there is no mail service on New Year’s Day.
The Rogers Free and George Hail public libraries and the senior centers in both towns are closed as well. Schools will reopen on Thursday, Jan. 2.

- CVS Pharmacy: 615 Metacom Ave., Warren. Regular hours: 7 am to 10 pm.
- Rite Aid Pharmacy: 580 Metacom Ave., Bristol. Regular hours: 8 am to 9 pm.
- Walgreens store: 591 Metacom Ave., Bristol. Regular hours: 8 am to 10 pm.
- Dunkin’ Donuts: 8 Gooding Ave., Bristol. Regular hours: 5 am to 10 pm
- Dunkin’ Donuts: 416 Metacom Ave., Bristol. Regular hours: 4 am to 11 pm.
- Dunkin’ Donuts: 375 Main St., Warren. Regular hours 5 am to 11 pm.
- Dunkin’ Donuts: 670 Metacom Ave., Warren. Regular hours: 5 am to 11 pm.
- Bristol Shell: 579 Metacom Ave., Bristol. Regular hours, open 24 hours.
