So disappinted in lack of vote for master lever!!

I am sorely disappointed in the legislation's refusal to vote on the elimination of the master lever (otherwise knows as single party voting.  Even though there were over 2500 Rhode Islanders who were calling for and supported this legislation...and to my knowledge... no known opposition our esteemed leadership of the General Assembly decided it did not need or deserve a vote.  They were too busy voting for the calamari legislation!

And then of course we have the :knife in the back" vote for the 10cent toll on the Sakonnet Bridge.

RI'ers have also given up their opportunity to case electoral votes for the President of the United States.  The Electoral College promotes federalism and makes national elections truly national. State popular votes, not the national populate vote, elects the president. And electoral votes are not awarded based on population alone, but rather every state gets two extra votes. This FAVORS less populated states as their voting power increases more (i.e. a state with 1 member of the House gets 3 electoral vote an increase of 300%, but a state with 10 members of the House gets 12 votes, only an increase of 20%). Voters in less populated states have a greater share of voting power and are therefore not as ignore as if the national popular vote elected the president.

Is there any hope that people are going to come to their senses and vote these pseudo-public representatives out???

Watching this from afar is even sadder than being there.  When you are caught up in the fray of trying to fight for something you believe in.... you sometimes lose sight of the big picture... and how overwhelmingly biased it is.
