Emily V. Del Toro, 99, Born, Died in Bristol

Her funeral service will be held Oct. 26 at Sansone Funeral Home in Bristol.

Emily V. (Velleca) Del Toro, died Saturday, October 5, 2013 at her home in Bristol. She was 99.

She was the wife of the late Anthony Del Toro for 70 years. She was born at home in Bristol, a daughter of the late Albert and Mary Velleca.

A lifelong resident of Bristol, she attended the former Colt Memorial High School and worked for various companies, including The Outlet Company in Providence and Collins and Aikman in Bristol. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and being with family and friends.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Silvia, formerly of Bristol and her brother, Albert Velleca of Bullard, TX. She was the sister of the late Jennie Ferrara, John Velleca and Carl Velleca. She also leaves behind a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday, October 26, 2013, at 10 am in the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol.
