Rose Campagna, 98, Retired Purchasing Specialist

Her visiting hours and funeral will be held on Thursday from the Sansone Funeral Home in Bristol.

Rose Campagna of Bradford Street, Bristol, died peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013 at the St. Elizabeth's Manor, surrounded by her loving family. She was 98.

Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (D'Angelo" Campagna. She was a purchasing specialist for the former Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corporation in Bristol for 34 years before retiring in 1971. She also worked for the former U.S. Rubber company in Bristol.

She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Campagna was the valedictorian of the Colt Memorial High School Class of 1935. She loved music, was a pianist and organist and also loved to play bridge. 

She is survived by several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. 
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Vincent A. "Jimmy", Frank J., and C.Thomas Campagna, five sisters, Frances Fasano, Helen, Mary, Marian Campagna, Mildred Merlino and Josephine M. Campagna. 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 2, from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, at 10 am with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol.

Visiting hours are Thursday morning only from 8:30-10 am.
