Thomas F. Charette, 80, Retired Pharmacist

His calling hours and a memorial service will be held Sunday at the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home in Riverside.

Thomas F. Charette, formerly of Greenville Drive, Barrington, died peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. He was 80.

He was the beloved husband of Phyllis (St. Angelo) Charette. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Francis T. and S. Susanna (Kwaga) Charette.

Charette lived in Barrington, Warren and Merritt Island, Fla., for the past 10 years. He was a pharmacist for 42 years before retiring in 1998. 

He was an Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Ocean Grove American Legion, Swansea, Mass. Charette was a graduate of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy Class of 1956. 

Besides his wife of 57 years, he is survived by six children; Susan J. Cardente of Barrington, Thomas F. Charette Jr. of Barrington, Melissa A. Polom of North Kingstown, Jennifer A. Braz of Barrington, David J. Charette of Palm Coast, Fla. and John A. Charette of Avondale, Pa., ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. 

A Celebration of his Life will be held on Sunday, Dec. 29 in the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 1 pm. Calling hours are Sunday from noon to 1 pm.
