Climb Every Mountain, Check Out Nano Days or Walk to the Beat of a Native American Drummer

We've got a variety of things for you and your family to do this first full weekend of Spring. Have Fun!

We've got some don't-miss activities for the family this week, including performance of "The Sound of Music" and a Community Fair at . 

As always, let us know what you think of the events we round up for for you, and feel free to make your own suggestions!

  1. When/Where:  Saturday, March 26, from 10 am to 3 pm, Hugh Cole School, Asylum Road, Warren.
    Why Go:  A free family event that promises a lot of fun and is full of community spirit. The Pawtucket Red Sox mascot PAWS will be visiting the fair from 11 am until noon. Food, games, vendors and more;  non-perishable food donations are welcomed for the school's food pantry as well as items to be sent to our service men and women overseas.
    Pricing:  Free admission
  2. Climb Every Mountain
    When/Where:  March 26 at 7 pm; March 27 at 2 pm, , 360 Market St, Warren, RI 02885 
    Why Go:  Fatima has a fantastic theater department.  Enjoy their performance of "The Sound of Music," a family-friendly classic musical.  Audiences will enjoy the memorable story and songs from this classic musical.
    Pricing: $10 Adult and $5 Students
  3. Nano Days at the Library
    When/Where: , 525 Hope St, Bristol, RI 02809, Saturday, March 26, 10 am - 2 pm.
    Why Go:  To find out how big and/or long "nano" is, of course. Nanoscale science and engineering hands-on demonstrations and activities.
    Pricing:  Free
  4. Native American Craft Fair and Mini Pow-Wow
    When/Where: Saturday, March 26, 9 am to 5 pm, Middletown Knights of Columbus, 7 Valley Road, Middletown
    Why Go: Drumming, dancing, storytelling, food & fun.  Hosted by the Aquidneck Indian Intertribal Council; event benefits their charities.
    Pricing:  Free, but items are for sale that will benefit charity. So bring your wallet!
  5. 4 Times the Fun
    When/Where: Dunkin' Donuts Center, Providence, Thursday and Friday, March 24 and 25, 7:30 pm.
    Why Go: The Harlem Globetrotters will celebrate their 85th consecutive season when their dazzling 2011 “4 Times the Fun” World Tour stops in Providence, showcasing the wholesome family entertainment that has provided lifetime memories for generations of fans. Don’t miss a moment of captivating trick shots, high-flying dunks and ball-handling wizardry.
    Pricing: Well, we didn't promise it was cheap - but it is a special treat. Tickets vary from $25 up to $119.
