Kids Night Out, Meet the Easter Bunny and Search for Eggs

This weekend offers two Easter Egg Hunts, Tea and Pedigree in Portsmouth, and a trip to Madagascar Live!

There's a lot to do with the kids this week, from a night out at the Y to Easter Egg Hunts and live music and stage shows. Here's what we've rounded up for you, so Grab, Go and enjoy!

  1. When/Where: Kids' Night Out, Friday, April 8, Bayside YMCA in Barrington, 6-9 pm.
    Why Go:  It's a worry-free night out for parents and a fun night for kids with lots of activity.  Open to children 4-10.
    Pricing:  Varies, and there's a price break if you call before Thursday. Call 245-2444, ext. 113, for more information.

  2. When/Where: Kickemuit Middle School, 525 Child St., Warren, April 8, 6--9 pm.
    Why Go: Talent Contest open to all Bristol County youth.  Come see what they've got to show! 
    Pricing: Free
  3. Hunt for Easter Eggs
    When/Where: Two local events on Saturday: 1) at the Bayside YMCA in Barrington.  2) The event held at Blithewold in Bristol.  See individual event listings for times, etc.
    Why Go: 'Tis the season!  Hunt for eggs, kids' activities, the Easter Bunny and more.
    Pricing: Varies by event; see individual listings.
  4. Madagascar Live
    When/Where: Providence Performing Arts Center, Providence, April 8-10, various performance times.
    Why Go: Kids love to see their favorite shows and characters on stage.  This story of animals at the Central Park Zoo who find themselve son an unexpected trip to zany Madagascar, will have kids singing, clapping and dancing.
    Pricing: $23, $28, $33, $43, $83
  5. Tea and Pedigree
    When/Where:  Sunday, April 10, Glen Manor House, Portsmouth, 2 to 4 p.m.
    Why Go:  This is a dress-up event (white gloves optional) for ladies of all ages over 5. Enjoy tea and a bit of history as you relive the glory days of Glen Farm's dog shows.
