Bristol Man Cited for Fleeing Accident Scene

Man charged with hit-and-run accident on Child Street.

A Bristol man was cited by Warren police last Thursday evening, Dec. 12, after he drove away from a two-car accident on Child Street. 

Matthew J. King, 22, of 48 Opechee Drive, and car driven by a Warren woman collided about 5:40 pm. Both drivers stopped, then he allegedly left the accident scene without exchanging information with the woman, said Warren Police Lt. Roland Brule. 

The woman did get the license plate number on his vehicle and contacted Warren police, Brule said. He was stopped a few minutes later in Warren and given a citation for fleeing the hit-and-run accident.

King also was given a date to appear in District Court to face the charge.
