The train pushed the vehicle down the tracks 20 feet. No injuries were reported.

A Bristol man is lucky to be alive this week after a train struck his vehicle Saturday in Portsmouth.

A 2012 Dodge Ram, operated by Marc Proulx of Bristol, was turning into the Carr Point Recreation Area off Burma Road, when the vehicle was struck on its passenger side by an oncoming train.

The Newport Dinner Train was traveling south on the tracks adjacent to Burma Road at the time. The train pushed the Dodge Ram down the railroad tracks 20 feet before coming to a stop.
