DUIs and License Arrests, Stolen Poles

The following information was provided by the Warren Police Department. Where an arrest is noted, it does not indicate a conviction.

The Warren Police Department reported the following arrests and incidents for Aug. 19 through 25:

Arrested:

  • Kristen Motta, 23, of 278 Metacom Ave., on a charge of driving with a suspended license, on Aug. 19 at about 12:30 p.m. No information from her Aug. 30 arraignment had been posted online by the publication of this article. Motta is also awaiting trial on charges of breaking and entering, conspiracy, and receiving stolen goods brought by Warren Police in April. She is due at a pre-trial hearing in that case on Sept. 23.
  • Ashley Hooton, 26, of 64 Fatima Drive, Bristol, on a charge of driving with a suspended license, on Aug. 20 at about 5:30 a.m. No information from her Aug. 30 arraignment had been posted online by the publication of this article.
  • William Michonski, 41, of Tiverton, on a charge of driving with a suspended license, on Aug. 20 at 2:15 p.m. No information from his Aug. 30 arraignment had been posted online by the publication of this article.
  • Michael Villegas, 52, of Riverside, on a charge of driving with a suspended license, on Aug. 21 at about 4:30 p.m. No information from his Aug. 30 arraignment had been posted online by the publication of this article.
  • Newton Woodson, 61, of Pawtucket, on charges of DUI and refusal to submit to a breath test, following a stop on Market Street on Aug. 21 at about 10 p.m. Officers presented Woodson for arraignment before Justice of the Peace Jay Rego, who set personal recognizance and released Woodson until a pre-trial hearing scheduled for Sept. 6 in Sixth District Court.
  • Stephen Scisento, 59, of Warwick, on a charge of driving with a suspended license, on Aug. 22 at about 6:30 p.m. No information from his Aug. 30 arraignment had been posted online by the publication of this article.
  • Isaiah Rathbone, 31, of 18 Wood St., on two counts of simple assault and one count each of DUI, refusing a breath test, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest, after his car struck a mailbox on Market Street on Aug. 24 at about 2 a.m. He is due for formal arraignment in Sixth District Court on Sept. 6.
  • Glenn Steger, 45, of Warwick, on a warrant issued by Sixth District Court for failure to appear at an ability-to-pay hearing in June stemming from his arrest by Barrington Police in October, 2012, on a charge of driving with a suspended license. He served 30 days in prison, and is currently serving the remainder of an 11-month suspended sentence and 11 months' probation on that charge. He is also serving a one-year suspended sentence and one years' probation each for two other suspended license charges brought in April by West Warwick Police and in June by Middletown Police.
Other incidents:
  • A resident of Bay Road told police on Aug. 20 at about 6:30 p.m. that two juveniles had stolen fishing poles from his boat.
  • Warren Fire personnel reported on Aug. 22 at about 1:30 p.m. that they had responded to a report of an electric water heater causing smoke in a home on Child Street.
  • Warren Police received a BOLO [be on the lookout] call seeking a white male in a black shirt and blue jeans who had been involved in a high-speed pursuit with East Providence Police officers. The man left his vehicle at a gas station in Swansea and fled on foot, according to police reports.
