Larceny Arrest, Sleepers in Basement, Furniture in Road

The Warren Police Department reported the following arrests and incidents for Sept. 9 through 16:

Arrested:

  • Sean Jobin, 22, of 37 Benefit St., after Bristol Police stopped his vehicle on Sept. 13 at about 3:30 a.m. Warren Police had issued a warrant for a charge of larceny under $1,500. At his Sept. 13 arraignment, Jobin pleaded no contest to the charge. Judge Robert Pirraglia sentenced Jobin to 50 hours' community service, a one-year suspended sentence, and one year's probation. He is due for an ability to pay hearing on Oct. 27. Jobin also owes $168.50 in fines and court costs from an October, 2012, misdemeanor larceny charge brought by Barrington Police.
  • Zackary Raposa, 21, of 16 Jessica Drive, Bristol, on charges of DUI and refusal to submit to a breath test, following a vehicle stop on Sept. 14 at about 1:15 p.m. Raposa posted bail on Sept. 16 until an arraignment scheduled for Sept. 20.
  • Brian Wynott, 30, of Providence, on Sept. 14 at about 3 p.m. on a Third District Court warrant issued for failure to appear at a December, 2012, ability to pay hearing on a charge of driving with a suspended license brought by North Smithfield Police. Wynott paid the remaining fines and court costs on Sept. 16, and the warrant was withdrawn.
  • Kylie Laucella, 35, of 126 Constitution Ave., Bristol on charges of DUI and refusal to submit to a breath test, following a traffic stop on Main Street on Sept. 14 just before midnight. She is due for arraignment in Sixth District Court on Sept. 27.
  • Keith Allen, 29, of 136 Main St., on charges of assault, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and obstructing police, on Sept. 15 at about 9:30 a.m. He is due for arraignment in Sixth District Court on Sept. 27.
Other incidents:
  • A resident of Main Street reported finding people asleep in the basement on Sept. 9 at about 8 a.m.
  • Staffers at George Hail Library told police on Sept. 9 at about 10 a.m. that newspapers had been stolen from the front of the library.
  • Warren Animal Control responded to Kelly Street on Sept. 10 at about 12:30 p.m. to free a possum that had gotten stuck in a fence.
  • Officers notified the Department of Public Works on Sept. 11 at about 12:30 a.m. after finding a couch in the street near the East Bay Bike Path near Norbert Street.
  • A woman reported to police headquarters on Sept. 11 at about 5:45 a.m. for help getting home after getting a flat tire on her bike. Officers returned the woman to her residence.
  • Following a call on Sept. 15 at about 6:30 p.m., officers responded to Metacom Avenue to remove a mattress from the roadway.
