Man, 22, Faces Drug Charge After Motion Detector Triggered

Warren police arrest Cranston man spotted outside a Main Street building early last Wednesday morning.

A Cranston man, 22, faces a drug possession charge after Warren police arrested him early last Wednesday morning, Oct. 2, outside a Main Street building.

Nicolas A. Teixeiria, of 16 Mystery Farm Road, was arrested by Warren patrol officers who were alerted to the presence of two people outside the building by a motion detector at about 1:43 am.

He was charged with possession of illegal drugs and also picked up on a bench warrant from 6th District Court on a previous drug charge.

A woman with Teixeiria was not arrested. She was released after he was taken to the Warren police station and arraigned on the new charge.

Teixeiria was transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions to be held until taken to District Court to face the charge.

Police officers searched around the building and found it was not entered.
