Police Arrest Warren Man on Warrant After Argument in Front of Library

Man facing domestic charge picks wrong spot to evade police.

An argument with an unidentified woman and another unidentified man in front of the George Hail Library in Warren last Thursday morning, Nov. 7, led to arrest of a Warren man on a previous domestic arrest.

David Assalone, 41, of 945 Main St., was hauled away in handcuffs by several Warren police officers at around 11:39 am. The altercation and his arrest drew the attention of pedestrians and numerous motorists driving on Main Street.

Assalone was arrested on a warrant issued by the Sixth District Court for his failure to appear on a previous domestic charge, said Warren Police Lt. Roland Brule.

Police officers were unable to locate the man and woman Assalone was arguing with on the street.

Assalone was taken to the Adult Correctional Institutions to await his date in court.
