Warren Man Charged in Swansea Murder

Police arrested a Warren man, 54, on Christmas Eve for allegedly murdering a Swansea woman last year.

David P. Sousa, 98 South Cutler St., Warren, was charged with being a fugitive from justice in Massachusetts after Bristol County issued a warrant for murder and violating an abuse prevention order.

He is awaiting extrication to Massachusetts from the Adult Correctional Institutions, according to the Providence Journal.

No stranger to Warren police, Sousa has an arrest record that includes charges for misdemeanor and felony domestic assault, domestic vandalism, violating a no contact order, possession of marijuana, domestic breaking and entering, simple assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, obstructing a police officer, vandalism, second degree child molestation and  malicious damage to property.
