Warren Woman Arrested for DUI in Middletown

Tracy Butler, 54, is due for arraignment today.

 

A Warren resident is due for formail arraignment today on a DUI charge following her arrest in Middletown on Jan. 3.

Officers in that town stopped the car driven by Tracy Butler, 54, of 28 Brownell St., Warren, at about 11 pm on Saturday night after observing it traveling 47 mph in a 25-mph zone.

According to Middletown Patch, Butler told police she was heading back to Warren and that she thought she was in Portsmouth.

Blood-alcohol tests returned levels of .009 and .010, within the legal limit to drive, though officers reported they thought she may have been under the influence of narcotics and brought her to Newport Hostpital for blood tests.

Online court records show that Butler is due for arraignment on the DUI charge in Second District Court, Newport, this morning. Officers also cited Butler for speeding.
