Bristol Woman, 50, Faces Domestic Assault Charges

Apparent disagreement over man leads to alleged assault by woman on another woman.

A Bristol woman, 50, faces two domestic charges after an incident late last Friday evening, Jan. 3, at a Chilton Street apartment.

Margaret J. DiLuglio, of 58 St. Elizabeth St., was charged by Bristol police with simple assault and battery and vandalism/malicious injury to property. She allegedly slapped in the face and punched in the arm another woman, 58, after a disagreement in the victim’s apartment over a male visitor, 58.

After the alleged assault, DiLuglo also reportedly kicked in the lower panel of the entrance door to the woman’s apartment and threatened to “kill” her. That is when police were notified, according to the arrest report.

The victim reportedly was having dinner with the man when he spotted DiLuglio outside shoveling snow. He invited her into the apartment. The apparent disagreement happened after about an hour of drinking, according to the police report.

DiLuglio was taken to the police station and charged. She was released about 12:30 am Saturday with a date to appear in District Court to face the charges, both misdemeanors.
