Biden-Ryan Vice Presidential Debate: Who Won?

Chime in on who you thought best made the case in the Vice Presidential Debate.

Vice President Joe Biden and Rep. Paul Ryan faced off in the only vice presidential debate of the election season Thursday night, jockeying to best represent his party's platform for president.

Vice presidents often take the role of attack dog for the campaign, pointing out the opposing candidate's perceived flaws and taking an aggressive position in support of his candidate's campaign.

So how did Biden and Romney do Thursday night? Did they effectively defend their ticket? Did they adequately disparage their opponent's positions? Who ultimately won Thursday's debate? Let us know in the comments section below.

Tom Brokaw put it very succiently, "The vice president picked up the play book the president left in his office." Vice President Biden was on point. He answered questions with facts not rhetoric. Paul Ryan danced the Romney dance and did not give direct answers to important questions. What is the plan? Support your facts. Bottom line in my book, the Obama Administration, with its' faults, is the champion for the middle class and Romney-Ryan will help the wealthy. Their position on Social Security and Medicare are certainly in the not best interest of our senior citizens and for upcoming generations. Who do you trust? As the old saying goes, "Better the devil you know..."

the devil you know...."is the accuser of the brethren and will try to get people looking at each other and accusing each other" Four more years of great empty speeches with finger-pointing has proven net zero results Most people dislike one-size-fits-all mandates, which apply even if a community has better local solutions than federally dictated policies The Obama Administration "with its' faults" being the understatement needs to give us hope and change residence

Mr. Biden was arrogant, rude, argumentative, disruptive, and generally made an ass of himself during the debate. Biden's hubris was exceeded only by his inappropriate laughter and outwardly ignorant debate style! His performance was sophomorically boring at best, and was in stark contrast to Paul Ryan's calm, gentlemanly and sophisticated style of debating. Obama the campaigner-in-chief apparently entrusted saving his presidency to good old Joe Biden, the chief of gaffes and despicable behavior. Obama proved himself to be an empty suit in his debate with Mitt Romney, while Biden proved himself to be a sack of you know what!

Biden was smug disrespectful and plain rude! It was embarassing to watch his display! I can't believe the VP of the usa acts that way! Absolutely disgusted. While Ryan was a true gentleman, stayed cool calm and collected! It says a lot abt his leading style. I never relized Iran was such a laughing matter Mr. Biden. What a disgrace. Was he on something last night or drunk?? Seriously dumbfounded. Clearly made my decision very easy I am voting for leadership not pompousness. Romney Ryan 2012

I agree Ryan appeared to be more gentlemanly, but that was mostly because he didn't say anything. Biden, while rather condescending at times, at least laid out his ticket's platform. Ryan and Romney continue to refuse to detail their plans. I'll take substance over style any day.

THIS REMINDED ME OF A BULLY IN SCHOOL, BIDEN WAS DISRESPECTFUL AND ARROGANT. HE LAUGHED AT MATTERS THAT ARE SERIOUS AND INTERRUPTED REPR. RYAN,SO HE COULD NOT COMPLETE HIS ANSWERS. AS FOR THE MODERATOR, SHE WAS NOT IN CONTROL OF THE DEBATE AND BIDEN, THE BULLY THAT HE IS ,TOOK ADVANTAGE OF HER AND SHE LET HIM. THIS WAS A CLASSIC EXAMPLE OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY CHICAGO PLAY BOOK.

You are confusing "fluff" with "substance" my friend An empty suit A man that is over his head and has not learned anything from his experiences in the last four years

Biden was a disrepectful bully. The moderator stopped Ryan several times when he wanted to explain his point. Her biase was blatantly obvious. I agree with what Robert Patterson has commented here.

RYAN, if by a nose. Biden low-level sarcasric jabs and interuptive chuckles just shows how seriously he takes his job as VP, AND with how much FAT-HEADEDNESS he has RE: his positions... :: head shake ::
