That Noise from RWU Today? It's Just a Test

Roger Williams University has scheduled a test of its emergency sirens for Wednesday at about noon.

The area around Roger Williams University could get pretty loud around noon on Wednesday, Sept. 18, as the school is scheduled to test its Emergency Siren Warning System.

University officials issued a statement to notify surrounding neighbors of the planned test, which will emit an 850-mHz tone used to alert students and staff members in the event of an emergency.

For more information on the RWU emergency siren system, read the Emergency Alert System FAQ web page.
