SOCIAL SKILLS GROUP FOR CHILDREN

Groups are designed to teach your children valuable life skills, such as making new friends, practicing healthy boundaries, resolving conflicts, using good manners, managing their anger, and expressing their feelings. These skills will be taught and practiced in a safe and confidential group environment with their peers, using games, art, role plays and another fun and effective therapeutic techniques.

Enrollment is typically 6-8 children and sessions are held weekly for 50 minutes. Each group lasts 6 weeks, however, children have the option to repeat sessions if your family feels like they would benefit from ongoing participation.

Group therapy is often a covered benefit of your health insurance, with clients typically having to pay their usual copayment. Please contact your insurer to find out what your benefits entail. The cost of group is $25 per week, or your copayment. There is a $25 one-time materials fee, due at the first group.
