Film Festival to Honor Maia Farish of Bristol, RWU at Oscars Bash

The Rhode Island International Film Festival is honoring Maia Farish of Bristol with its Producer's Circle Award on Sunday.

The award will be presented at the annual Oscar's night party, called the 2014 Red Carpet Experience: Providence, which benefits the film festival.

(There are still a few tickets left to snap up!)

Farish is a Roger Williams University community relations ambassador, wife of the college president, and "steadfast advocate for the arts on the campus," according to film festival organizers.

The Producer's Circle Award is presented annually to members of the community who have actively worked to support and promote the mission of the FLICKERS: Rhode Island International Film Festival.

Farish's community involvement is incredibly deep, including board memberships with The Newport Restoration Foundation, Preserve Rhode Island, Grow Smart Rhode Island and the Old Slater Mill Association; to serving as Executive Director of the Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach; and director of community relations at Martha's Vineyard Hospital.
