Masqueraders Perform at Blithewold Tea Party to Promote Spring Musical

Mt. Hope Masqueraders get involved in the community for spread awareness about their spring musical coming up in May.

The following was submitted by Ava Mascena, a member of the Masqueraders.

Cast members from the Mt. Hope Masqueraders Production of “Beauty and the Beast” entertained participants of the “Be our Guest Tea” held on Sunday, April 22, at Blithewold by singing songs from the Disney Musical and assisting the staff by serving at the tea while in character.

Julie Murphy, the Education Coordinator at Blithewold., was very helpful in arranging this Masqueraders community service event. It was a partnership between and the Masqueraders to help gain more community involvement experience and to help increase the public awareness of the Mt. Hope Theatre Department. The entertainment was enjoyed by the staff and the visiting guests of the mansion as well as the tea goers. The Masqueraders hope to do more events like this in the future.
