Kids Reading Across RI

The state Office of Library & Information Services' summer program, involving local libraries, starts tomorrow with kick-off at the State House.

Tomorrow afternoon at the State House, the Rhode Island Office of Library & Information Services is scheduled to host its 3rd Annual Kids Reading Across Rhode Island Kickoff Celebration, featuring Gail Carson Levine, author of Dave at Night.

The event marks the official beginning of the summer reading season, and this year's celebration features shows by Carmela Cannata and Rose Adler's Performing Conures — more commonly known as parrots — and exhibitions by the RI Museum of Science and Art and woodworker John Magnan.
