Rain and T-Storms Likely; Bristol Keeps Cooling Center Open

Rogers Free Library is Bristol's designated cooling center for folks who need to escape the heat and humidity.

With continued warm temperatures and high humidity levels in Wednesday's forecast, the town of Bristol announced that its designated cooling center at Rogers Free Library will remain open until 8 p.m.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected Wednesday afternoon, with highs around 80 and winds gusting to 14 mph during the day and 25 mph overnight, according to the National Weather Service.

Heavy rain is possible Wednesday night into Thursday morning, with patchy fog expected before 10 a.m. Thursday. Rainfall amounts could reach an inch between Wednesday and Thursday night.

The NWS is forecasting continued clouds with the potential for rain and thunderstorms through at least Friday.
