Bristol-Warren Weekend: Summer Wrap-Up
Final summer events, a 5K road race, and a walking tour of Blithewold are on the agenda for Labor Day Weekend.

The forecast for Bristol and Warren is for sunny skies and comfortable temperatures on Friday, with an increasing chance of rain and thunderstorms through Monday — so choose an event and get out and enjoy!
Friday night, the Bristol Merchants Association is hosting the final Thank Golly It's Friday in Bristol event starting at 5 p.m. Shops are open late to welcome shoppers and visitors.
Enjoy the colorful scenery on a walking tour of Blithewold Mansion on Saturday starting at 11 a.m. Online tickets are $5 for members, $16 for adults, $40 for two adults and two kids.
Tweet's Tiki Hut, located behind Tweet Balzano's Restaurant on Mt. Hope Avenue, hosts the final summer performance by Trinity on Saturday night at 8:30 p.m. $5 cover includes first drink.
In Warren this weekend, the waterfront will be buzzing with preparation for Sunday's Finish for a Guinness 5K road race. $200 prizes for first place in men's and women's divisions and $100 for a new course record.
Registration is open all weekend. Number pick-up is set for Saturday from noon to 3 p.m.
And once you finish your barbecue shopping for Monday, take a break Sunday night for the Rhode Island Philharmonic Summer Pops at Independence Park beginning at 6 p.m. Admission is free. Classics from Tchaikovsky, Strauss, Williams, Webber, Sousa and more are on the set list. Rain date Sept. 2.
