Your Guide: RI Philharmonic Summer Pops in Bristol

The free concert is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Sunday night. In case of rain, the concert will be held Monday at 6.

Close out the summer in Bristol with a special performance by the Rhode Island Philharmonic Summer Pops on Sunday, Sept. 1 at 6 p.m. at Independence Park.

Now in its 69th season, the Philharmonic kicked off its summer series on July 4 at India Point Park in Providence. This year's musical selection includes the National Anthem, Chanson de Matin by Elgar, The 1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky, Phantom of the Opera by Webber, and Stars and Stripes by Sousa, among others.

Resident Conductor Francisco Noya leads the ensemble through its paces in its next-to-last performance. The final appearance of the Summer Pops is scheduled for Sept. 22 at Slater Park in Pawtucket.

The concert is free and open to the public. Rain date is Sept. 2 at 6 p.m.
