Mt. Hope High School Masqueraders will continue showing their spectacular performance of Beauty and the Beast this weekend. Hope High School Masqueraders perform Beauty and the Beast at the high school. Showtimes are Saturday, May 5, at 7 pm and Sunday, May 6, at 2 pm. It was an Encore Performance from the Mt. Hope Masqueraders with their production of "Beauty and the Beast". Every actor controlled their about opening night jitters and turned in an outstanding performance. This is a must see play for the whole family. Ava Callery is the perfect Belle. Tom Hanson is the perfect Beast. Both having vocal training, sang their songs beautifully. It is great casting of the enchanted household staff with Lumiere, played by Alex O'Hanley, entertaining the audience with his delightful voice and his witty banter. The object of his fun bantering was going on with Babbette played by Makaela Impagliazza. The actors had very good stage chemistry together. The following was submitted by Ava Mascena, a member of the Mt. Hope Masqueraders. Cast members from the Mt. Hope Masqueraders Production of “Beauty and the Beast” entertained participants of the “Be our Guest Tea” held on Sunday, April 22, at Blithewold by singing songs from the Disney Musical and assisting the staff by serving at the tea while in character. Julie Murphy, the Education Coordinator at Blithewold., was very helpful in arranging this Masqueraders community service event. It was a partnership between Blithewold Mansion and the Masqueraders to help gain more community involvement experience and to help increase the public awareness of the Mt. Hope Theatre Department. Attended last evening (Fri) and WOW! It IS an outstanding production! I took many pics, creating a smilebox to share (I'll put it in dropbox, Sarah, if interested in posting). Many of us know the story, but this rendition, the casting, the costumes, the music, the talent... it just all came together quite nicely and is certainly an event not to miss!
