Bristol Marine Bids for Warren Mill

The local company hopes to preserve and create 400 jobs in Warren.

For the last several years, rumors have swirled about what will become of the former American Tourister building in Warren. A local company believes it has the answer. Bristol Marine Holdings, LLC, a local boating and real estate investment company, has entered a bid to acquire the former Warren Manufacturing Company mill, Bristol Marine President Andrew Tyska announced this week. The company would renovate the building to provide space for small, local businesses, according to a company press release. "Our plan is to support small businesses, preserve existing jobs, and attract new exciting employment opportunities and workforce training facilities to the Warren waterfront," Tyska said in a release. Well this is interesting! I think this plan could have potential, although I am concerned about how many businesses are in a rush to move to warren, even if the space is catered to them... I think we still should have allowed the plan to turn all of the mill into condo's with two additional floors, making it a beautiful landmark, but that didn't go through unfortunately.
