Friends, Family Honor Anniversary of Warren Resident's Death
The benefit concert raised hundreds for the Warren Animal Shelter.
Friends and family of the late Katheryn "Katia" Cabral, of Warren, celebrated her life on Monday evening by hosting a concert at the Coffee Depot to benefit the Warren Animal Shelter. Joyce Katzberg, Cabral's neighbor and friend, hosted the event in honor of the one year anniversary of her death. Cabral, 56, was found dead inside the rear of a submerged vehicle at Gull Cove in Portsmouth on Dec. 17, 2010. "We wanted a chance to celebrate her life all together rather than all grieve alone," Katzberg said. Katzberg said the inspiration for the event came from Cabral's passion for animals and music, so the benefit combined the two.
