Chafee Declares Friday Day of Mourning

Let Bristol and Warren readers know where the bells will ring tomorrow.

  The following was provided by the Office of Gov. Chafee on Thursday, Dec. 20. Gov. Lincoln Chafee has declared Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 – the one-week anniversary of the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT – a "Day of Mourning" in the State of Rhode Island. Click here to read more.] To honor the memory of the 26 victims who lost their lives in the shootings, Chafee has also called for a statewide moment of silence at 9:30 am on that day and has asked that buildings, which have the ability, ring bells 26 times during that moment in honor of each life that was taken.
