Sea of Blue Gathers to Say Final Goodbye to Fallen Firefighter
Hundreds of uniformed firefighters, officers, family and friends paid homage to Kenneth D. Marshall Jr.
It was a sea of blue as firefighters, police officers and U.S. Marines dressed in their formal blues and white gloves joined together in Attleboro on Thursday, Dec. 2, to say goodbye to a fallen brother, Kenneth D. Marshall Jr. Nearly 1,000 people participated in Marshall's funeral service which began at Foley-Hathaway Funeral Home in Attleboro where Marshall's casket, draped with an American flag, was placed on the back of a firetruck and led in a procession to the Community Covenant Church on Tremont Street in Rehoboth. Ken, Please accept my codoleces for the loss of our brother Ken, I can tell you thats over time it does get slightly easier to cope with. I can tell you this by experience since we too had a LODD in 2008. My suggestion to you and your Brothers is to make it down to Emmitsburg next October, the Memorial Ceremony will help you out.
