Sea of Blue Gathers to Say Final Goodbye to Fallen Firefighter

Hundreds of uniformed firefighters, officers, family and friends paid homage to Kenneth D. Marshall Jr.

It was a sea of blue as firefighters, police officers and U.S. Marines dressed in their formal blues and white gloves joined together in Attleboro on Thursday, Dec. 2, to say goodbye to a fallen brother, Kenneth D. Marshall Jr.  Nearly 1,000 people participated in Marshall's funeral service which began at Foley-Hathaway Funeral Home in Attleboro where Marshall's casket, draped with an American flag, was placed on the back of a firetruck and led in a procession to the Community Covenant Church on Tremont Street in Rehoboth. Rows of firefighters from departments throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut lined the driveway of the church as Marshall's wife, Bethany, son, Trevor and daughter, Brianna watched pallbearers carry …

Ken, Please accept my codoleces for the loss of our brother Ken, I can tell you thats over time it does get slightly easier to cope with. I can tell you this by experience since we too had a LODD in 2008. My suggestion to you and your Brothers is to make it down to Emmitsburg next October, the Memorial Ceremony will help you out.
