Gablinske Says He's Not Surprised by Union Impersonator
Teachers' union employee arrested for sending out e-mails claiming to be Doug Gablinsk'i'.
State Rep. Doug Gablinske said he was not surprised this morning when he learned that a prominent employee of the powerful state teachers' union was arrested for allegedly impersonating him with false e-mails and written communication during the campaign season. "I am familiar with their political tricks," he said. "This man was misrepresenting my public policy positions." During his time in office, Gablinske took several pro-taxpayer stances that were considered "anti-union," and he had become a union target during the last two elections. On Tuesday morning, officers from Bristol arrested John Leidecker of 154 Friendly Road in Cranston and charged him with a misdemeanor for the use of false information.
