Leonardo Inacio Matos: Member of the Santissima Trindade

The Bristol resident passed away on Feb. 14, 2013.

  Leonardo Inacio Matos, 70, of Claremont Avenue, passed away on Feb. 14, 2013. Born in Sao Mateus, Pico Azores, he was the son of the late Jose and Francisco (Sousa) Matos. He was the husband of Mary Olga (Goulart) Matos; father of Leonardo Matos Jr., Dennis Matos and Mark Matos; grandfather of Shawn Matos, Courtney Matos, Cody Matos, Juliana Matos and Chelsea Matos. His funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 18 at 8 am from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9am at Saint Elizabeth Church, 577 Wood St. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bristol. The Bristol resident passed away on Jan. 4, 2013.

  Anne (Texeira Vasconcellos) Francis, 83, of Franklin St. passed away on Jan. 4, 2013 at South County Hospital. Born in Bristol, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Delphina (Texeira Raposa) Vasconcellos. She attended Bristol schools and worked in manufacturing for I Shalom, Converse and Transcom for many years retiring in 1994. She is survived by her daughter Maryann Crellin and her husband, Bob, of Narragansett, and grandsons Edward and William Crellin. She was the sister of the late Anthony Vasconcellos, Phoebe Medeiros and Mae Perry.   Amancio "Amos" Moniz Pires, 61, of Mt. Hope Avenue passed away on Jan. 2, 2013. He was the husband of Venilde (Botelho) Pires. Born in Pico da Pedra, Sao Miguel, Acores, he was the son of Guilherme and Maria da Conceicao (Moniz) Pires. Amos was a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of the Santissima Trinidade serving as a Mordomo and as president from 2000 to 2001. He is survived by his wife, Venilde; children Amos Pires Jr. and Matthew David Pires; and his father Guilherme. He was the brother of Eduarda Almeida, Gorette Teixeira, Mary Pires and Paula Bucci.   Maria Ilda (Medeiros-Furtado) Noia, 95, of Roma Street passed away on December 30th at Cape Cod Hospital. She was the wife of the late Alfred Ribeiro Noia. Born in Bristol, she was the daughter of the late Joao and Maria do Esperito Santo (Mello) Furtado. She was employed as a seamstress at Smith Manufacturing, I Shalom and Premium Thread before retiring.   Gil Cabral, 85 of Metacom Ave., Bristol, and Diman Ave., Fall River, passed away on Dec. 22, 2012. He was the husband of the late Beatrice (Ricardo) Cabral. Born in Seekonk, MA, he was the son of the late Frank and Elvira (Costa) Cabral. He was rubber worker for Carr/Fulflex and also worked at Collins & Aikmen.
