The Rhode Island Lottery announced that a Bristol resident and her father, who lives in West Warwick, won the Million Dollar Raffle Game.
A Bristol woman and her father, who lives in West Warwick, split the Rhode Island Lottery's $1 million prize in this year's Million Dollar Raffle Game, the agency announced on Thursday. RI Lot did not identify the winners, though in a statement, the agency said that "both play the lottery on occasion and never dreamed about winning. They must have checked the ticket 100 times! She and her father have no special plans as to what to do with the money." They bought the ticket at Stop & Shop at 300 Quaker Lane in Warwick, RI Lot reported..

Bristol Food Mart sold Saturday's winning ticket.
One local resident may have a little extra cash for gifts this holiday season. The winning ticket in Saturday night's Wild Money drawing was sold at Bristol Food Mart, 259 Wood St., the Rhode Island Lottery announced Monday. The winner has not yet claimed the $38,236 jackpot. Another local winner — a Portsmouth man — has claimed a $12,300 winning Keno Plus ticket. He played $10 on a 5-spot Quick Pick and matched 5 out of the 5 numbers for a standard payout of $4,100. Since he opted to play Keno Plus for an extra $1, and the 3 multiplier was drawn, his prize was tripled to $12,300. He plans to put the money towards Christmas shopping. Okay, so it's a little anti-climactic when you hear that a Rhode Island ticket took home the big prize and you realize it wasn't you. But what if it was?
