Manuel C. Faria, 72, of Three Truman Court, passed away Tuesday, Apr. 16, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Maria Fernanda "Fran" Faria, his wife of 49 years. His funeral services will be held Saturday, Apr. 20 at 10 am from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at St. Elizabeth Church, 577 Wood St. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bristol. Antonia Almeida (Oliveira) Costa, 88, of Jones Street passed away on March 7th at Newport Hospital. She was the wife of the late Manuel DaPonte Costa. Leonardo Inacio Matos, 70, of Claremont Avenue, passed away on Feb. 14, 2013. Born in Sao Mateus, Pico Azores, he was the son of the late Jose and Francisco (Sousa) Matos. He was the husband of Mary Olga (Goulart) Matos; father of Leonardo Matos Jr., Dennis Matos and Mark Matos; grandfather of Shawn Matos, Courtney Matos, Cody Matos, Juliana Matos and Chelsea Matos. His funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 18 at 8 am from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9am at Saint Elizabeth Church, 577 Wood St. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bristol. Mrs. Angela M. (Cadile) Martin, age 64 of Vasta Lane, Bristol, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of John Martin, Jr., her husband of 45 years. Born in Providence and a Bristol resident for most of her life, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Rose (Longo) Cadile. Angela was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School, Class of 1966, and worked for 12 years at the former Jade Plastic Co. in Bristol. She was a communicant of Saint Elizabeth Church, Bristol and loved spending time with her family and was an avid walker around her beloved Bristol, especially with her husband, John. Driving by Saint Elizabeth Church in Bristol on a sunny day, you may have spotted a shiny car with some colorful decals parked on the sidewalk and wondered, "why haven't the police slapped a ticket on that car for parking like that?" Well, truth be told, the car is actually on display to promote a large raffle hosted by the church. And for $15, you could be the new owner of that car. For the past several months, members of Saint Elizabeth Church and the Santo Cristo Committee have been promoting the raffle and selling tickets for their new raffle.
