On June 16, 2013, at the age of 94, Rita Rachel Lombardi passed away peacefully in the company of her three children and granddog Eli Angelo. She was the widow of former Town Council President and Army Captain, Lester L. Lombardi Sr. The daughter of Eli and Exilia Deblois, Rita was pre-deceased by her sixteen siblings, including Lawrence, Joseph, Dennis, Norman, Rene, Lillian, Marion, Irene and Blanche. Arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, where the family will receive friends and relatives, Sunday June 23 from 4 to 8 pm. Jose B. Ramos, 62, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at Brigham & Womens Hospital in Boston, MA. Born in Providence a son of the late Jose and Alice (August) Ramos. Beloved husband of Karen A. (Correia) Ramos. He was a civil engineer and construction supervisor for JH Lynch & Sons. Arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren where family will receive friends Friday, Feb. 15 from 5 to 8 pm. The Honorable Morphis A. Jamiel, US Army Major General (Retired), 91, of Warren, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013. Born in Warren, a son of the late Albert and Mary (Falugo) Jamiel. Mr. Jamiel was a lawyer and retired late last year as Probate Judge for the Town of Warren.
