John M. Brandao, 90: Active Parishioner of St. Elizabeth Church

The Bristol resident passed away on May 5, 2013.

  John M. Brandao, 90, of Milford Street passed away on Sunday, May 5th at Silver Creek Manor surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late DeoLinda (Borges) Brandao, his wife of 57 years. Born in Provacao, St. Michael, Azores, he was the son of Augustine M. and Maria Trindade (Borges) Brandao. He arrived in the United State in 1956 and lived in Bristol for the rest of his life. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 10 at 10 am from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at St. Elizabeth Church, 577 Wood St. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bristol.   Edna Frances (Dias) Cappucci, 89, of Sherry Avenuem passed away on Jan. 14, 2013. She was the wife of the late Peter M. Cappucci. Born in Bristol, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria (Ferreira) Dias. She attended Bristol schools and was a homemaker. She is survived by her sons, Ronald (Patricia) Cappucci, Domenic (Madeline) Cappucci and Anthony (Lisa) Cappucci all of Bristol; grandchildren Ronald Cappucci Jr., of Coventry, Janell Pacheco and Ryan Cappuccim both of Bristol; great-grandchildren Wyatt Cappucci and Curt Hagan of Coventry; sister Rose August and brother Edmund Dias of Bristol. She was the sister of the late Mary Carreiro, Joseph Dias and Manual Dias. Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 18 at 10 am from …
