Bristol Teen Charged With Reckless Driving in Tiverton Accident
Police say the driver of one of the vehicles was speeding up West Ridge Road on Tuesday night.
Tiverton police charged a 17-year-old Bristol teen with reckless driving in connection to the Tuesday afternoon accident off Main Road that sent two people to the hospital. Lt. Patrick Jones said police responded to the scene, which was actually behind the Sakonnet Veterinary Hospital at 1320 Main Road, on West Ridge Drive. The accident occurred at approximately 5 p.m. and the boy's arrest happened at 5:45 p.m. According to Fire Chief Robert Lloyd, the teen reportedly drove a black Ford pick-up truck heading northbound on West Ridge Drive into a white Ford pick-up truck driving southbound.
