Heavy Rain Could Cause Flash Flooding Today
The National Weather Service warns of flash flooding today.
A slow moving storm is still moving up the north east and could create flash flood hazards throughout the day on Monday. The National Weather Service warns that periods of heavy rain could result in some minor small stream or poor drainage flooding. Bristol and Warren should expect to see rain through most of the day and some patches of fog. There's an East wind of about 11 mph, but wind gusts could reach 21mph. According to the Weather Channel, areas of Western Long Island have already received 10 inches of rain, and more than two inches in parts of Connecticut.
