On the article BCWA Boosts Water Rates by 11% for 1 Year

ReplyIt is clear to me that this is another case of individuals not doing their jobs. Mr. Morse makes a good point in that the pipelines are health hazards. Instead of letting BCWA sweep things under the rug we need a real plan with looking at possible grant monies etc. BC residents approved linking up with the Prov water system. What happened to that? Where's the money. An 11 percent rate hike is extreme when given the fact that the authority has failed miserably to provide a healthy product. The thing to do at this point is get some individuals with good track records (verified) and go forward and perhaps the residents can endure say a 5 percent hike.

ReplyWill this State/County ever learn to confirm prior experience/employment.
BCWA needs to be made accountable to the Bristol County residents.
What is going to be done about this situation? A response from Ms Marchand
would be appropriate and the hiring panel. -
On the article Should Former Gov. Carcieri Apologize For 38 Studios Fiasco?

ReplyLocal bargain jerk got my attention. Unlike the commentator I did not vote for Carcieri and one of the main reasons was the arrogance exuding from the man. It gives me no pleasure to see that I was correct as the Stat of RI does not need to fork over $70 million - we have families living in cars due to the economy... Yes it would be nice if he gave a sincere apology but what would be the correct thing to do is to admit the mistake. No the former Governor suggest that the company would have remained viable if the "State" had put more money. Where was his money? A good friend once told me that the fish rots from the head down. This is an example of how true that is. Don - fess up and even better pay up.

Using cloth bags is the way to go. They are strong and can carry heavy items. Its all
in balance. Use 2 bags to even out the weight. Plastic needs to go. Society needs to do its share. If you are going to carry a bag anyway why not one that doesn't hurt
the environment. I do not understand the negative comments. This is just common sense
