OLF Re-Opens with Part-Time Classes

Our Lady of Fatima High School is offering remedial math classes and adult Bible study beginning Oct. 3.

Just about 17 months since it officially closed its doors to full-time instruction, Our Lady of Fatima High School is scheduled to hold Bible classes and remedial math workshops beginning this week.

The Catholic high school, shut down following its 44th and last graduation ceremonies in June, 2012, is reopening for Thursday night classes beginning Oct. 3, the school announced this week.

Classes in middle school math and high school math will be offered, as well as an adult Bible study, all beginning at 7 p.m.

Tuition for the classes are $10 per session, or $100 for the semester, scheduled to run through Dec. 12.

Sr. Dorothy Schwarz recently told EastBayRI.com that the plan is meant to help her order pay an estimated $102,000 tax bill levied by the town of Warren after the school closed last year, eliminating its tax-exempt status.
